Elke Goez

Elke Goez (born 1963) is a German historian. She studied medieval and modern history as well as modern German literary studies. In 2002, she completed her habilitation and became a Privatdozentin in medieval history and Franconian and Bavarian regional history at the University of Passau. She subsequently held substitute professorships at the universities of Bamberg, Tübingen, and Düsseldorf, and was a visiting professor at the University of Erlangen. From March 2010, she worked at the Monumenta Germaniae Historica. Her publications include “Papsttum und Kaisertum im Mittelalter” (2009) and “Geschichte Italiens im Mittelalter” (2010).
