Isabel Bogdan

Isabel Bogdan (born 1968 in Cologne) studied English and Japanese in Heidelberg and Tokyo. She translated works by authors including Jane Gardam, Nick Hornby and Jonathan Safran Foer, and published books and short stories in anthologies. Her works include the book Sachen machen, the bestselling novel Der Pfau (2016), Laufen (2019) and Wohnverwandtschaften (2024). She received the Hamburg Advancement Award for Literary Translation in 2006 and the Hamburg Advancement Award for Literature in 2011.
