Brit Bennett

Brit Bennett grew up in Southern California and studied at Stanford University and the University of Michigan. Her writing appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, The Paris Review, and Jezebel. Her debut novel, The Mothers, was nominated for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize and the Prix Femina étranger. Her second novel, The Vanishing Half, became a bestseller in the United States.
