Frantz Wittkamp

Frantz Wittkamp was born in Lutherstadt Wittenberg in 1943. After working as a teacher of art and biology, he began working in 1970 as a children’s book illustrator, graphic artist, painter, gallerist, and poet. He illustrated more than one hundred children’s books and wrote numerous poems. In 1995, he received the Austrian State Prize for Children’s Poetry.
