Zoran Drvenkar

Zoran Drvenkar was born in 1967 in Croatia, then part of Yugoslavia, and moved to Berlin with his parents at the age of three. He began working as a freelance writer in 1989. His work includes novels, poetry, plays and screenplays for children, young adults and adults. His notable books include the thrillers “Sorry” and “Du”, as well as the children’s series “Die Kurzhosengang”. In 1999, he received the Oldenburg Children’s and Young Adult Book Prize for “Niemand so stark wie wir”; “Sorry” was awarded the Friedrich Glauser Prize in 2010. “Du” was adapted as the television series “Then You Run” in 2023.
