Isabel Abedi

Isabel Abedi (born 1967 in Munich) grew up in Düsseldorf. After spending a year in Los Angeles as an au pair and intern at a film production company, she trained as a copywriter in Hamburg and worked in that profession for thirteen years. She subsequently published numerous books for children and young adults, including the “Lola” series and the young adult novel “Whisper.” Her books have been translated into several languages and received awards; “Whisper,” among others, was recognized by the youth jury of the German Youth Literature Prize. The first “Lola” book was adapted for film in 2010.
