Clementine Deliss

Clementine Deliss was born in London and studied contemporary art in Vienna and ethnology in Vienna, Paris, and London. She earned a doctorate at the University of London on the relationship between ethnographic collections and the development of the Musée de l’Homme in Paris. From 1992 to 1995, she was artistic director of Africa 95, a festival organized by the Royal Academy of Arts. She directed the Weltkulturen Museum in Frankfurt am Main from 2010 to 2015 and the international art laboratory Future Academy from 2003 to 2010. From 1996 to 2007, she published the artists’ journal Metronome, which was presented twice at documenta in Kassel. In 2015 and 2016, she was a fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.
