Anke Domscheit-Berg was born in 1968 in Premnitz, then part of East Germany. She studied applied textile art and international business. She subsequently worked for companies including Accenture, McKinsey and Microsoft and founded the companies fempower.me and opengov.me. Her professional, political and voluntary work has focused in particular on open government, political transparency, civic participation and gender equality.
