Andreas Scheepker, born in Hage in 1963, is an author from East Frisia. After graduating from the Ulrichsgymnasium in Norden, he studied Protestant theology, literature, history and education. He worked as a school pastor at Gymnasium Ulricianum and as a study director at an institution for Protestant religious education. Scheepker has written several crime novels and stories set in East Frisia, often incorporating themes from the region’s history. His crime novel “Tote brauchen keine Bücher” was nominated for the 2004 “Das neue Buch” literary prize.
