Andreas Kruse (born 1955) is a professor and scholar specializing in gerontology. He directed the Institute of Gerontology at Heidelberg University, a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre, and served as chair of the German federal government’s commission on ageing reports. From 1987 onward, he was involved in the preparation of the German Bundestag’s reports on older people. Kruse is regarded as a leading figure in German gerontology and demographic research.
