From 1994 to 2006, Christine Thomas served as the national women’s organiser of the Socialist Party in England and Wales. She wrote extensively on the oppression of women for the newspaper The Socialist and the theoretical magazine Socialism Today. For Manifest Verlag, she wrote introductions to Gerda Lerner’s The Creation of Patriarchy (2022) and Friedrich Engels’s The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State (2020).
