Ralf Lottmann

Born in 1971, Ralf Lottmann holds a doctorate in sociology. He studied sociology in Berlin and gerontology in Amsterdam and earned his doctorate at TU Dresden with a dissertation on education in later life. From 2004 to 2015, he worked as a research associate in the German Bundestag, focusing among other things on ageing and health policy. He subsequently worked at Alice Salomon University Berlin on same-sex lifestyles, self-determination and care in later life. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the Centre for Research on Ageing and Gender at the University of Surrey. From 2020, he was a professor of health policy at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences.
