Aiko Kempen is an investigative journalist. He worked for the ARD magazine “Monitor” and published articles in, among others, Die Zeit, SZ-Magazin, taz, Vice Online and Tagesspiegel. He also headed the online editorial department of the Leipzig magazine kreuzer. His reporting has focused particularly on the police and far-right extremism. Kempen supported the Saxony police in a pilot project aimed at improving cooperation with the media and taught investigative research at the Akademie für Publizistik.
