Wieland Giebel

Wieland Giebel (born 1950) published numerous books about Berlin and worked as an author and editor. In 1996, he founded the Historiale association, which organized the Historiale history festival and operated a museum in Berlin. He founded the Berlin Story bookshop in 1997 and the Berlin Story publishing house in 2003. After studying law, Giebel worked for six years as a forklift driver in a television factory and subsequently spent six years as a development worker for the Protestant church in Rwanda.
