Daniel Ziblatt

Daniel Ziblatt is a political scientist and Professor of Government at Harvard University. His work on democracy and authoritarianism, particularly in Europe, has received multiple awards. In 2023, he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He co-authored the book How Democracies Die (2018) with Steven Levitsky, an international New York Times bestseller that has been translated into more than thirty languages and received, among other honors, the NDR Kultur Sachbuchpreis for best nonfiction book of the year. His other publications include Tyranny of the Minority.
