Valentin Moritz

Valentin Moritz was born in 1987 and grew up in southern Baden. He studied literary studies at Freie Universität Berlin and worked as a literary agent before becoming a freelance author in 2019. His prose has appeared in magazines, anthologies and individual publications. In 2015, he received the Prenzlauer Berg Literature Prize, and in 2018 he was invited to the Klagenfurt Literature Course. His first book, Kein Held, was published in 2020 and received, among other distinctions, a literature grant from the state of Baden-Württemberg and the Hochschwarzwälder Book Fair Prize. His other publications include Bahía Salvador (Sukultur).
