Philipp Winkler

Philipp Winkler was born in 1986 and grew up in Hagenburg near Hanover. He studied creative writing in Hildesheim and writes novels and screenplays. His debut novel, “Hool,” was published in 2016, received the ZDF aspekte Literature Prize for the best German-language debut, and was shortlisted for the German Book Prize. The novel has been translated into several languages and adapted for the stage. Winkler’s second novel, “Creep,” was published in 2022.
