Stefan Ufer (born 1975) is a professor of mathematics education at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. His research focuses on the structure and acquisition of mathematical competencies across the life span and on learning from errors. He studies, among other topics, how classroom culture can make use of students’ own errors and those of others to support self-regulated learning. His research includes controlled field studies, questionnaire studies, and interventions in teacher training.
