Signe Ibbeken

Signe Ibbeken, born in Berlin in 1966, worked as an actress at various municipal theatres before becoming self-employed as an acting teacher and beginning to write. She published poetry and short prose in literary journals and anthologies and received several awards, including the Audience Award from the Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus Berlin for her calendar story “Die Fremden.” Her prose debut is “auf einer lichtung steht ein tiefgefrorenes reh.”
