Stephan Lehnstaedt, born in 1980, is a historian who received his doctorate in Munich in 2008 and completed his habilitation at Chemnitz University of Technology in 2016. That year, he took up a professorship in Holocaust Studies and Jewish Studies at Touro College, now Touro University Berlin. He previously taught at LMU Munich, Humboldt University of Berlin, and the London School of Economics, and worked as a research fellow at the German Historical Institute in Warsaw. He has published extensively on German-Polish history, the two world wars, and the Holocaust. His books include *Der vergessene Sieg: Der Polnisch-Sowjetische Krieg 1919–1921 und die Entstehung des modernen Osteuropa* and *Der Große Nordische Krieg 1700–1721*. He has received several awards for his contribution to German-Polish reconciliation.
