Sabine Andresen

Sabine Andresen (born 1966) is a German education scholar. She completed her doctorate at Heidelberg University and her habilitation at the University of Zurich. She has taught as a professor of social pedagogy and family studies at Goethe University Frankfurt. Her research focuses on childhood and family studies, child well-being, vulnerability and poverty in childhood, and sexual violence in childhood and youth. Since 2016, she has chaired the Independent Commission for the Investigation of Child Sexual Abuse.
