Nicole Eick is from Karlsruhe and studied social pedagogy in Bamberg. She subsequently worked in areas including a women’s shelter, pregnancy counseling, and a social psychiatric service. Alongside this work, she was a freelance contributor to regional newspapers and wrote short stories and several novels. Her crime novel *Wenn der Engel kommt* was nominated for the Friedrich Glauser Prize in 2025.
