Beatrix Mannel

Beatrix Mannel (born 1961) studied theater, literature and linguistics. She then worked for nearly ten years as an editor and writer for various German television broadcasters and production companies, including Bayerischer Rundfunk and Bavaria, where she also wrote screenplays. She subsequently published more than 40 books for children, young adults and adults, including crime novels, historical fiction and young adult books. Her work has been translated into more than ten languages. In 2016, she founded the Munich Writing Academy.
