Heidi Rehn, born in 1966 in Koblenz on the Rhine, grew up in the Middle Rhine Valley. She studied German and history in Munich and works as a freelance journalist and author, having devoted herself to writing professionally for many years. She is particularly known for historical novels set in Munich during the first half of the twentieth century. Her works include “Die Tochter des Zauberers – Erika Mann und ihre Flucht ins Leben,” “Das doppelte Gesicht,” and “Die letzte Schuld.” In 2014, she received the Golden Homer Award for the best historical relationship and society novel.
