Kristian Wachinger

Kristian Wachinger (born in 1956 in Munich) trained as a bookseller and studied German and Romance languages and literature in Munich, Hamburg and France. He worked for three decades as a publishing editor and also translated works by authors including Giacomo Casanova, Prosper Mérimée, Georges Simenon and Laurent Binet. From 2003 onward, he was involved in several editions drawn from the literary estate of Elias Canetti.
