Daniel Schulz

Daniel Schulz was born in Potsdam in 1979 and grew up in a village in Brandenburg. He studied political science and journalism in Leipzig and initially worked for several East German newspapers and the Berlin magazine »zitty«. He subsequently worked as a journalist for the »taz«, covering topics including far-right extremism, eastern Germany and Ukraine. He received the Reporter Award in 2018 and the Theodor Wolff Prize in 2019. His novel »Wir waren wie Brüder«, published in 2022, is his literary debut.
