Christian Jaschinski was born in Lemgo in 1965. After training as a data processing clerk and studying business administration in Germany and the United States, he initially worked in marketing and later as a teacher at a vocational college and as a university lecturer. He writes crime fiction and comedy literature. His debut novel, “Der Tag, an dem ich feststellte, dass Fische nicht klettern können,” was published in 2016. His series include the crime novels featuring criminal judge Tara Wolf and the STARCK series about a public prosecutor, which began in 2024. Jaschinski is also a musician who played piano and keyboard in rock bands. He combined readings with music in “text concerts.”
