Kai Engelke

Born in Göttingen in 1946, Kai Engelke is a German author and editor. After studying education in Hildesheim, he worked as a primary and lower-secondary school teacher in the Emsland region from 1975 to 2011. He has published numerous literary works and edited volumes, contributed to more than 150 anthologies, and released three CDs. His literary work has received several awards. He also served as artistic director of the State Literature Days of Lower Saxony and Bremen in 2001 and 2007, and of the Meppen Literature Festival from 2008 to 2018.
