Barbara Kalender

Barbara Kalender, born in 1958, is a German author, book designer, and publisher. She worked at März Verlag from 1980 or 1981 onward. Together with Jörg Schröder and Horst Tomayer, she developed the concept for the television docudrama “Die März-Akte,” directed by Peter Gehrig, which received the Grimme Award in 1986. From 1990 to 2018, she and Jörg Schröder produced the series “Schröder erzählt.” In 2011, she co-authored “Immer radikal, niemals konsequent,” a book about März Verlag, with Jan-Frederik Bandel and Jörg Schröder; in 2013, she and Schröder published “Kriemhilds Lache.”
