Asha Hedayati

Asha Hedayati, born in Tehran in 1984, studied law at Humboldt University of Berlin. She worked as a family lawyer, focusing on representing women affected by violence in separation, divorce and protection proceedings. She also trained social workers from women’s shelters and counseling centers and taught family law as well as child and youth welfare law. As a writer and speaker, she addressed domestic violence and violence against women. Her book *Die stille Gewalt – Wie der Staat Frauen allein lässt* was published in 2023 and became a bestseller.
