Thomas Piketty

Thomas Piketty (born 1971) is a French economist. His academic career has included the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) and the Paris School of Economics in Paris. He became widely known for his book *Capital in the Twenty-First Century*, which was translated into 40 languages and sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide. His other works include *Capital and Ideology*, *A Brief History of Equality*, and *Socialism of the Future*.
