Adam Tooze

Adam Tooze, born in 1967, is a British economic historian. He studied economics at Cambridge and the Free University of Berlin and earned a doctorate in economic history from the London School of Economics. After teaching in Cambridge and at Yale, he became a professor of modern history at Columbia University in New York and director of its European Institute. Tooze has written numerous studies of economic and modern history, including *The Wages of Destruction*, *The Deluge* and *Crashed*. His work has received multiple awards.
