Saboura Naqshband

Saboura Naqshband is a transdisciplinary scholar of politics and culture, Muslim feminist, and critical educator. Their work and publications address decolonial feminist aesthetics, critical approaches to racism, postcolonial education, intersectionality, and the relationship between Islam and (queer) feminism. Naqshband has conducted research and taught at the Berlin University of the Arts, where they pursued a doctorate in the field of aesthetic education. They are a co-founder of the collective Berlin Muslim Feminists. Their contributions have appeared in publications including “Double Bind postkolonial,” “Erziehungswissenschaften dekolonisieren,” “K)ein Kopftuchbuch,” and “Unlearn Patriarchy 2.” Naqshband has also worked as a performer and consultant on several film projects.
