Tanjev Schultz (born 1974) is a German journalist and author. He studied philosophy, media studies, political science, psychology and German studies in Berlin, Hagen and Bloomington. He worked for more than ten years as a political editor at the Süddeutsche Zeitung, covering education, domestic security, terrorism, political extremism and intelligence services, among other topics. In 2016, he was appointed professor of the foundations and strategies of journalism at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. His journalistic work has received several awards, including the Goethe Media Prize and the Universitas Prize for Science Journalism. He has published several books, including works on education policy and the plagiarism scandal involving Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg.
