Sieglinde Geisel

Sieglinde Geisel, born in 1965 in Rüti in the canton of Zurich, is an author and cultural journalist. From 1994 to 1998, she was the New York correspondent of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung; afterward, she wrote about Berlin’s cultural life and contributed to publications including NZZ am Sonntag, WOZ, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. In 2016, she founded the online literary magazine tell. Her books include “Irrfahrer und Weltenbummler. Wie das Reisen uns verändert” (2008), “Nur im Weltall ist es wirklich still. Vom Lärm und der Sehnsucht nach Stille” (2010), and the interview book “Was wäre, wenn?” with Peter Bichsel.
