Michael Farin, born in 1953, worked as a director, curator and co-screenwriter and was the owner of Belleville Verlag. From 1980 onward, he produced and adapted radio plays and radio features. As a co-screenwriter, he worked on Romuald Karmakar’s award-winning films »The Deathmaker« and »Frankfurt Kreuz«. His radio-play adaptations include Hermann Hesse’s »The Glass Bead Game« and Louis-Ferdinand Céline’s »Journey to the End of the Night«. His adaptation of Fritz Lang’s »Metropolis« was named Radio Play of the Year in 2001.
