Sabine Kyora

Sabine Kyora, born in 1962, studied literary studies and history in Bielefeld and Hamburg. She earned her doctorate in 1991 with a dissertation on psychoanalysis and prose in the twentieth century and completed her habilitation in 1999 with a study of the poetics of modernism. In October 2002, she took up a professorship in modern German literature at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. Her research focuses on literature of classical modernism and contemporary literature, including the works of Arno Schmidt, Friederike Mayröcker, and Paul Wühr, as well as methodological questions in literary studies.
