Martin Hielscher

Born in 1957, Martin Hielscher studied literary studies, modern German literature and philosophy. He worked as an author, editor, translator, literary editor and lecturer, including as an editor of Uwe Timm’s works. From 2001, he headed the fiction program at C.H.Beck in Munich; in 2007, he was appointed honorary professor of literary mediation at the University of Bamberg. His publications include the monograph “Uwe Timm” (2007) and the edited volume “Uwe Timm Lesebuch: Die Stimme beim Schreiben” (2005).
