Dr Roda Verheyen (born 1972) is a German lawyer specializing in environmental, planning and climate protection law. She began her legal work in climate protection in 2006 as part of the German anti-coal campaign. Among other cases, she pursued legal proceedings concerning Germany’s climate targets and represented a climate lawsuit against the federal government before Berlin’s Administrative Court in 2018. In 2021, she and others successfully brought a case before Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court. Verheyen was a member of the German delegation to the UN Climate Change Convention and was appointed an honorary judge of the Hamburg Constitutional Court in 2021. She co-founded Green Legal Impact Germany and co-authored the book *Wir alle haben ein Recht auf Zukunft* with Alexandra Endres.
