Rainer G Schmidt

Rainer G. Schmidt was born in Saarland in 1950. In 1978, he began translating the complete works of Arthur Rimbaud. He subsequently translated numerous works by authors including Henri Michaux, Victor Segalen, Herman Melville, Wallace Stevens, Joseph Conrad, and Victor Hugo. In 1998, he received the Paul Celan Prize.
