Philipp Laage

Philipp Laage, born in Hagen in 1987, is a journalist and author. He writes books, reportage and essays about travel, and has contributed to publications including DER SPIEGEL, WELT, dpa, Falstaff and Malik National Geographic. His first book, “Vom Glück zu reisen,” was published by Reisedepeschen in 2019. He has also contributed to the anthologies “The Travel Episodes”; “Travel is broken” was presented as his third book. A recurring focus of his writing is the search for remarkable places, extraordinary people and their stories. As a child, Laage spent his summer holidays in the mountains, which led to a lasting enthusiasm for snow-covered peaks.
