Oleh Kotsarev

Oleh Kotsarev, born in 1981 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, is a Ukrainian writer, journalist, literary critic and translator. His first poetry collection appeared in 2003 and received the Ukrainian Smoloskyp Literary Prize. His works include the poetry collection Вміст чоловічої кишені (The Contents of a Man’s Pocket, 2021), a collection of short prose and the novel Люди в гніздах (People in Nests, 2017). Together with Yulia Stakhivska, he edited an anthology of Ukrainian avant-garde poetry from 1910 to 1930. Kotsarev has received, among others, the Molode-Wyno Prize, the Walerian Pidmohylnyi Prize and the Metaphora Translation Prize.
