Moshe Zuckermann (born 1949) is an Israeli historian and sociologist. He was born in Israel to Polish-Jewish Holocaust survivors and grew up in Tel Aviv. After his parents emigrated to Frankfurt am Main in 1960, he returned to Israel in 1970 and studied at Tel Aviv University. He later taught at the university’s Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and Ideas and directed its Institute for German History from 2000 to 2005. He became emeritus in 2018. His research focuses include Holocaust discourse in Germany and Israel, Israeli political culture, and the sociology of culture and art. His publications include Gedenken und Kulturindustrie, Zweierlei Israel, and Das Trauma des ›Königsmordes‹.
