Meike Messal

Meike Messal was born in Minden in 1975. She studied German, English and American studies in Hamburg. After spending time in Israel and South Africa, she worked as a teacher, including in Schleswig-Holstein and at a secondary school in Minden. She published her first crime novel in 2015. Her other crime novels include “Atemlose Stille,” “Düsterstrand,” “Klippenfall” and “Dünenschrei.” Several of her crime novels are set on the island of Fehmarn, while others take place in her native East Westphalia. Messal also worked as an editor and published numerous short stories.
