Daniel Badraun

Daniel Badraun was born in 1960 in Samedan in the Engadine. He writes for adults and children in German and Romansh and has written crime fiction, plays, columns and texts for children. From 1989 onward, he worked as a special-needs teacher in Diessenhofen. He also served for several years as a member of the Thurgau Cantonal Parliament. From 2006, he wrote for the reading-promotion project “Geschichtendock.” His play “Schnee von gestern” premiered in Chur in 2018. In his youth, Badraun raced bobsleigh; later, he was often active as a cyclist or hiker. He is the father of four adult children.
