Matthias Ponnier

Matthias Ponnier, born in Berlin in 1940, studied acting with Hilde Körber and began his career as a stage actor. He subsequently appeared at various German theatres and worked as a freelance actor from the early 1970s onward. He became known for appearances in television productions including “Ein Fall für zwei,” “Großstadtrevier” and “Tatort.” Ponnier also worked as a voice actor and audio-play speaker. His credits included roles in the audio production “The Return of the Dancing Master” and in a production of J. R. R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings.”
