Martin Kirschner (born 1974) is a theologian and holds a doctorate in theology. He was a Privatdozent in dogmatics at the University of Tübingen and a professor of theology in contemporary processes of transformation at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. From 2016 to 2022, his professorship was supported by the German Research Foundation’s Heisenberg Programme. His research has focused on social and ecclesial processes of transformation, political theology, theological epistemology, and conflict management. His edited volumes include Europa – Krisen, Vergewisserungen, Visionen (2019) and Subversiver Messianismus (2020).
