Stefan Silber

Stefan Silber, born in 1966 in Leidersbach, Lower Franconia, studied theology in Würzburg and Cochabamba, Bolivia. From 1997 to 2002, he founded and directed the Diocesan Catechist Centre in Potosí and worked in theological and pastoral education. In 2001, he received his doctorate from the University of Würzburg with a dissertation on Juan Luis Segundo. He subsequently worked in various pastoral and theological fields in the Diocese of Würzburg. From 2010 to 2013, he was a research associate at the University of Osnabrück, where he participated in an international research project on urban pastoral ministry. He completed his habilitation in fundamental theology in 2015. He later taught systematic theology at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia in Paderborn and worked as a private lecturer at the University of Osnabrück. His publications include “Postcolonial Theologies: An Introduction.”
