Lydia Nagel

Lydia Nagel was born in Wismar and studied Slavic studies and cultural studies in Berlin, Belgrade, and Moscow. From 2011 to 2014, she worked as a research associate at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Vienna. She also directed an internship program for Ukrainian and Belarusian students in Brandenburg. As a translator, she works from several Slavic languages into German, particularly contemporary prose and drama. Nagel is a founding member of Drama Panorama: Forum für Übersetzung und Theater e. V. and translit e. V., and a member of the Association of German-Language Literary and Scientific Translators (VdÜ).
