Julia Cimafiejeva

Julia Cimafiejeva, born in 1982 near Brahin, Belarus, is a Belarusian author and photographer. She studied English at the Minsk State Linguistic University and literary studies at the Belarusian State University. Her literary work has been translated into several languages. Her poetry collections published in German include Circus (2019) and The Fear Stone (2022). In Minsk. Diary (2021), she documents everyday life in revolutionary Minsk during the protests in Belarus. Cimafiejeva has participated in photography exhibitions in Belarus and abroad, and her photographs have appeared, among other publications, in the photobook #anotherday. 40 Days in Times of the Corona Crisis.
